Barp! Barp! The bus for environmental justice is coming to town!

Do you see the links between fuel poverty, poverty and the destruction of our planet and want to know more?
Are you aware of the horrors of the proposed ‘welfare reform bill’ that will force women fleeing violence into slave labour and could leave the most vulnerable people in our society without money for food?
Have you already been taken off incapacity benefit and left without any money to live on for weeks on end?
Do you live under the flight path of the airports in Scotland or other toxic areas like Grangemouth or near open cast mining?
Do you suffer from insomnia or is your clean washing covered in black spots?
Are you concerned about the health affects that the pollution is having on your children?

Would you like to.....

Celebrate the spirit of people and communities campaigning on these issues?
Are you concerned and want to take action?
Get involved in creating a tool kit for action?

You are invited to the upcoming workshops in and around the Bus of Environmental Justice Resistance - Poverty, Inequalities and the links with Climate Change

Anti-poverty and Climate Change campaigners, who often work independently come together to expose the links between poverty, welfare reform and climate change. Workshops throughout the year and the Bus will provide a unique opportunity for both the older and new generation of campaigning activists, organisations and the people directly affected by poverty and pollution to learn and benefit from each others' experience and expertise.  This is a ‘popular education’ event designed to enable the creation of a ‘tool kit’ for action. The bus will host a series of radical, creative, public interventions at sites which cause environmental and social disaster. The Bus of Resistance is planned for later in 2010 and will be a celebratory journey symbolically linking oppressed communities in acts of creative resistance.  It will be a day to remember.
