GaydarRadio is delighted to announce the results of the inaugural GaydarRadio Heroes Awards. The Awards honour the people that make a significant contribution to our lives and were the culmination of our Heroes Season, a celebration of everything LGBT that proves we are all heroes.
Over eight weeks GaydarRadio honoured the everyday heroes with a series of interviews with people from the LGBT community. Each week guests talked about the heroes who had influenced their lives, before being crowned our Hero of the Week!
Listeners were asked to nominate the people they think make a significant contribution to our lives. The top five finalists in each category were then pitted against one another and the public asked to vote for the most heroic recipients. Over 17,000 votes were cast in the final stages.
GaydarRadio congratulates this year’s winners and runners up for their achievements and wishes them yet more success in the future.
